Live Coconut Oil

Coconut oil can do all this and more. Because coconut oil is primarily saturated oil, it has been inappropriately branded as unhealthy. It has been thrown out right along with beef fat and lard with the assumption that they all carry the same health risks. However, research by  Dr. Mary Enig,  Dr. Bruce Fife,  Dr. Stephen Byrnes,  Raymond Peat, and many others, has clearly shown that the oil from coconuts acts differently than the saturated fats from animal sources. "Traditional" methods of producing virgin coconut oil use either heat, fermentation, or both to extract the oil from the shredded coconut meat. Some even dry the meat first into what is called copra.
